HEATH PARK CUP: Draw Details
19 Apr 2014
L
EVERSTOCK GREEN will field two teams in both of this summer's midweek cup competitions - with the Heath Park (ex-Gazette) Cup first to make its draw.
The Green will be looking to go one ball better than last summer's agonizing defeat to Abbots Langley in the inaugural final of the new competition set up by Hemel Hempstead Town CC after the Hemel Gazette absolved themselves of the duty of running a local cricket tournament.
Unlike the 14 x eight-ball over format of The Watford Observer competition, the Heath Park Cup is a straight T20 knockout.
There is a 14-strong field so that means two First Round byes, Leverstock Green's 'A' team being one of the recipients of a free pass to Round Two.
No such luck for the 'B' team, to be led by Saturday 3s skipper Gareth Tucker, however. They have been drawn at home to face Herts League Division Two side Northchurch.
Round One ties - to be played by May 23 - are as follows:
Kings Langley v Abbots Langley
Ivinghoe & Pitstone v BYE
Langleybury v Chipperfield Clarendon
Leverstock Green B
v Northchurch
Boxmoor v Met Police Bushey
Hemel Hempstead Town v Berkhamsted
BYE v
Leverstock Green A
Tring Park v Little Gaddesden & Potten End
Details of The Watford Observer Fourteen14 draw are expected to be known very soon.
