READERS HERTS COUNTY TROPHY: Green To Host Kings Langley In Quarter-Final After Owens Win

21 Jun 2015

LEVERSTOCK GREEN secured a Readers Herts County Trophy quarter-final place with a five-wicket win at Old Owens.

Kings Langley will be the visitors to The Green for the Sunday July 19 last-eight tie after making short work of Northwood Town in their Round Two match.

Levy restricted their Potters Bar-based hosts to 141 all out, with skipper Dayle Littlejohn taking four lower-order wickets.

In reply, Miles Barnard's quick-fire 30 - 22 of which from the innings' first over - helped to set up a comfortable chase.

Fellow opener Lewis Koch struck 31 allowing Littlejohn (30*) and Mr LGCC Dave Tyson (17*) to put on a match-winning sixth-wicket partnership of just over 50.

The full quarter-final line-up for the Readers Herts County Trophy is as follows:

Botany Bay v St. Albans West Indian
Abbots Langley v Old Elizabethans
Shenley Village v Knebworth Park
Leverstock Green v Kings Langley

- ties to be played on Sunday July 19
