NEITHER Leverstock Green nor Sunday's hosts Old Owens had to bowl a ball to negotiate Round One of the Readers Herts County Trophy - but now the teams prepare to vie for a quarter-final space this weekend.

Old Owens enjoyed a bye while Green's opposition London Colney conceded the First Round match.
 
It promises to be an entertaining encounter at Old Owens Sports Ground (EN6 4NF) with a 1pm start set for Sunday afternoon.

The two teams both compete in Division 2A of the Saracens Herts League, with Green's 5-1 start putting them slightly ahead of Owens' 3-3 record at this early stage of the summer.

Captain Dayle Littlejohn and his team would welcome support from club members for this 50-over contest.
