GIVEN the circumstances of the match, Dave Tyson produced one of his greatest innings at The Green to turn almost certain defeat into a thrilling last-over victory for LGCC against Kings Langley and earn a place in the Readers Herts County Trophy semi-finals.
His 72 not out was perfectly paced across just under two hours and 79 balls faced, rescuing Levy from little more than 100-4 to strike the winning boundary from the 50-over game's penultimate ball to pass Kings' target of 238.
The victory sets up a semi-final tie at home to Shenley Village on Sunday August 16.
