THERE was a welcome change of winner - well, as far as LGCC's players were concerned - of the Clive Rutt Trophy, presented to the winning team on Cricket Week Monday.

The President's XI, compiled by Brian Coulshed, has often put the club XI in its place in recent years, however this time - led by Dayle Littlejohn - LGCC recorded a narrow 12-run success.

It was skippers to the fore for the club XI, with Club Captain Richard Walker hitting 65 and 1st XI captain Dayle Littlejohn 38 out of LGCC's 254-8.

Jack Bishop struck 59 in reply, but four wickets from Lewis Koch pegged back the President's XI who ended 242 all out.
