DESPITE falling 59 runs short at Broxbourne II in Division Five, Leverstock Green II had a number of individual high-spots to reflect on.

Not least of which was teenage off-spinner Matthew Lake's superb marathon 21-over spell, which saw him pick up four for 80.

Backed up by a typically tidy spell from 'Shotgun' Steve May at the other end, Green were pleased to keep their hosts to 218 for nine on a decent batting track.

In reply, several of the Green top order got starts but only Mark Craft (43), ably supported by Naeem Khan (26), really got going.

The regular clatter of wickets after Craft's dismissal left Levy with no chance of overhauling the target, and they were eventually removed for 159.
