AT last, the rain abated for sufficiently long to stage the first cricket match of summer 2016 on The Green - home to the mighty LGCC, of course.

And what better way to christen the newly-prepared facilities than with a victory!

Dave Tyson's Under-15s recorded a seven-wicket victory over Hemel Hempstead Town to begin their Herts Junior League fixture schedule in the best possible style.

But no time to rest on their laurels; they'll be one of seven age groups honing their skills at the first (weather permitting!) junior coaching morning this coming Saturday, April 30.

And even before then, the junior action comes thick and fast at The Green. The Under-11s' host Berkhamsted on Thursday April 28, while West Herts are the visitors on Friday April 29 for an Under-14 fixture.
