FURTHER to the club email of April 1, we now confirm Dave Beynon's funeral arrangements.

 His funeral service will take place at the Holy Trinity Church, Leverstock Green, on Friday April 22 at 2.00pm. Following the service, the wake will be held at the club from 3.00pm to 6.30pm.

Everyone is very welcome.

It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Dave Beynon.

He had a heart attack on Monday and was taken to hospital. Although initially comfortable, he unfortunately deteriorated yesterday and passed away at the hospital last night. Ann and the family were with him.

Dave was a long-term supporter of the club. He was a professional architect and we are very grateful to him for all his work at the club with renovations and upgrades over a number of years. Our particular thanks go to him for his masterminding of the plans and drawings for the clubhouse rebuild in 2014.

He was much-loved by everyone and on a personal note, I accompanied Dave with Steve Wilson, Ron Craven and Les Hodgins on regular weekly visits to the Royal Geographical Society. Dave was always entertaining us with his stories and his wish to redesign the whole Society building if he was given the chance!

We have lost a good friend and we send our sympathies to the family.
