FRI APR 28 - LGCC JUNIORS LATEST: Training ON This Weekend

28 Apr 2023

LGCC JUNIOR traiining sessions and matches will take place as scheduled this weekend.

We plan to have as full a training session as possible this (Fri Apr 28) evening - at last!

All players between U11 and U15 are welcome to attend, with the hope we'll be able to run a split-age session which includes outfield usage - subject to conditions (there are away games for U10 and U11 8-a-side teams, which means numbers will be fewer).

Please ensure juniors arrive ahead of the 6.30pm start, not at or beyond 6.30, so we can assess numbers and allocate coaching resource accordingly. The session is slated to end at 8.00pm, though sometimes creeps on a little further towards dusk on fine evenings.

The LGCC clubhouse and bar will be open for parents to resume their customary Friday evening practise of ending the week with a drink or two while pretending to watch their child(ren) train. Feel free to share a drink or two while the coaching takes place.

Saturday morning training for U9 and below (as well as U10/11 players who cannot make Friday evenings) will take place at The Green tomorrow morning from 9.30am to 10.45am.

We have three matches scheduled for Sunday at The Green (U13 10.00am, U10 1.30pm, U11 (8) 4.00pm), so please feel free to pop up and support the young cricketers as this 2023 season finally gets underway.
